At Black Hills Studios of the Arts, we believe that music changes lives. Every note played, every song sung, and every moment of discovery in our studios helps build confidence, connection, and joy. We are a nonprofit community of musicians and educators dedicated to making music accessible to everyone — regardless of age, ability, or financial circumstance.

From young beginners learning their first scales to adults rediscovering their love for music, BHSA opens doors for all. Our instructors teach piano, voice, guitar, band and orchestral instruments, mandolin, banjo, and more — offering lessons at low cost, and often free, thanks to sponsorships and community support.
